Winners announced for the “Film Music Business Career Mentoring for European Film Composers” 2024
In June, ECSA and Oticons opened a call for the “Film Music Business Career Mentoring for European Film Composers”; an intense online mentoring course performed by George Christopoulos (founder & CEO of Oticons). Today, two lucky winners have been selected.
After a careful selection process, George Christopoulos decided to select Célyne Baudino and Thibault Torzuoli from France. George stated:
"Mentoring film
composers is a true passion of mine, and I take great care in listening to each
applicant's music during the selection process. It’s always a challenging task,
and I continually hope to be inspired by the remarkable talent out there. I am
pleased to say that once again I was not disappointed! Célyne's music
captivated me with its originality and consistent voice; and there's
not much more to comment about her music except that it blew me away. At
the same time Thibault's exquisite music showcased a rare skill set of a film
composer: he is not seeking to impress but rather to enchant filmmakers with
the elegance and emotional depth of his compositions. Both Célyne and Thibault
emerged as ideal candidates, perfectly positioned in their careers to benefit
from valuable insights and propel their journeys forward. Now more than ever,
our industry needs more voices like theirs!"
During the sessions, which are set to take place in September, George will help the two towards a successful career path by offering career advice and industry insights. Congratulations to both composers!
