
Alfons Karabuda
Alfons Karabuda is a Swedish composer of music for television, radio, stage and screen (BBC, SVT, DR, SR, Zentropa among others). He was re-elected as the President of ECSA in February 2019 and is the president of SKAP (Swedish Society of Songwriters, Composers & Authors) and as of September 2019, he is also the President of the International Music Council. He is a UN Human Rights Council Expert in the fields of Artistic Freedom, Freedom of Expression and Authors’ Rights. He is a member of the Board of STIM, (Swedish Performing Rights Society), president of the Polar Music Prize Award Jury, chairman of the Polar Music Prize Award Prize Committee, and was the 2010-2012 spokesperson for Network Culture Creators.
