What is the Creators Conference?

The conference allows music creators to share their knowledge and experience on an artistic, EU policy and professional level. It provides a high level European platform where creators, music business representatives and EU policy-makers can exchange views on on-going issues affecting music authors such as freedom of expression, author’s rights, new economic models, international cooperation or fair remuneration. It is traditionally attended by over 300 guests – music creators, representatives of national governments, EU officials and policy-makers, music distributors, music publishers, broadcasters, musicians, collective management societies and right holders from the cultural sector in general, cultural institutes, academics, or NGOs active in the field of culture and human rights.

The 2013 edition of the Conference was awarded the “Best International Congress” prize by the City of Brussels, in recognition of ECSA’s efforts to set up an outstanding event of unique value for all attendees. Read our press release on the prize here.
